City of Algona - Wastewater Treatment Plant Employee

The City of Algona is accepting applications for a position at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Preferred applicants will have a Grade I, or higher, Iowa Wastewater Treatment Licenses, but applicants with mechanical abilities and related experience will be considered. The employee will work under the direction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent, but will be required to perform functions in other Departments as needed.

Possession of an IA Grade III water/wastewater preferred plus MO A water/ C wastewater certifications or ability to obtain. Experience in surface water chemistry strongly preferred. Proficient at scheduling, prioritizing, directing and motivating others. Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Required to live within 10-30 minutes of Maryville and will be required to work a rotating schedule based on two 10-hour shifts. Oskaloosa Municipal Water Department - Treatment/Distribution Position

The Oskaloosa Municipal Water Department is seeking applicants for an open treatment/distribution position. The qualified candidate should possess a State of Iowa Grade I water distribution or water treatment certificate or be able to obtain within six months. He/she must also possess a valid class B CDL or be able to obtain within six months. The successful candidate will need to have an outgoing personality as they will need to deal with the public on a daily basis. Wage DOQ. Excellent benefits package. City of West Branch - Water/Wastewater Operator

The City of West Branch is seeking applications for a water/wastewater operator position.

Duties include: test, monitor, and maintain water and wastewater systems, snow and ice removal, maintain city buildings, equipment, streets, curbs, cemetery and parks. Preferred applicants will have a Grade I, or higher, Iowa Water Treatment, Distribution and Wastewater Certifications, but applicants with mechanical abilities and related experience will be considered. Required qualifications: ability to be on-call evenings and weekend and reside within 30 minute response time. Prefer post high education and min. 2-4 years exp. in water & wastewater technology and streets. Position is regular full-time, benefit eligible. Salary DOQ. EOE.
