The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities at a level 3 plant or have the foreseeable ability to test into a grade 3 operation. The Wastewater Operator will ensure that all processes comply with environmental regulations and safety standards while maintaining efficient operations. Experience in water treatment and distribution is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment including pumps, valves, and motors. • Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates.
• Inspections and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment.
• Build and repair mechanical systems as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Document operational data, maintenance activities, and compliance reports accurately. Experience
• Proven experience in wastewater treatment at level 3 preferred or the ability to test momentarily.
• Basic understanding of math principles relevant to the industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Sioux City, Iowa - Wastewater Treatment Plant Compliance Technician - The Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is seeking a Compliance Technician to join our team. Under the general direction of the WWTP Pretreatment Manager, completes compliance monitoring, site inspections and laboratory analysis as part of the Industrial Pretreatment and Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) programs. This position will work Monday-Friday 700am-330pm. Must be able to work outside normal working hours to include evenings and weekends. Our employees are required to reside within 30 miles of the City of Sioux City limits which extends to other adjoining states; Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
